A Fundraiser for the Afghanistan Emergency Fund

Albania from My Eyes

Albania from My Eyes is a collection of art photography taken by Afghan refugees, including American Councils staff and their families, from their temporary home in Albania.

The collection reflects the hopes and resilience of these individuals who fled Afghanistan because of threats to their lives and livelihood following the humanitarian crisis and change in government in August 2021.

By making a $100 donation to support the Afghanistan Emergency Fund, you will receive a high resolution digital photograph of your choice from the gallery below. Multiple photographs are available but donors must contribute $100 for each photograph received (for example, a donation of $300 would receive three digital photos).

$50 of your donation will go directly to the photographer—all of whom are recent refugees of Afghanistan. The remaining $50 is tax-deductible and will help cover urgent short-term needs for refugees and individuals within Afghanistan, such as food, shelter, medical care, and/or relocation expenses.

Once your donation is complete, American Councils will contact you to arrange a digital transfer of your photograph selection. Please direct any questions about the Albania from My Eyes project to Camryn Viola at connect@americancouncils.org.

All Albania from My Eyes photographs are for personal use only. These photographs cannot be published, sold, or distributed without permission from American Councils and the photographer.
